Barbara Micheli
Business Development Microwave, Mobile Networks
Nokia

Barbara Micheli belongs to business development for Nokia Wavence microwave. Firstly, in a start-up serving CSPs and Public Sector Customers focusing on RF/ELF electromagnetic fields monitoring, she then joined former Alcatel and matured 10+ years’ experience in advanced microwave network design. Since 2014 she has been following worldwide pilot projects and trials on microwave small-cell backhaul for Tier 1 Operators, then extending her scope to microwave solutions for open pit mines and public safety/plants/roads/airports use-cases. Barbara holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano), where she presented the experimental results of her thesis in former Alcatel on Free-Space Optics propagation.

John Gilbert
North America Microwave Solutions Sales Specialist
Nokia

John Gilbert is a member of the NAM Microwave Solutions Sales Specialist team that is focusing on Transportation Energy and Public Sector (TEPS) customers. John has been in his current business development role with Nokia since May 2015. Prior to business development, he worked in the Microwave Network Engineering team supporting the customer transitions to the 9500MPR platform. John has 29 years with Alcatel, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia. For the first 18 years of his career, he worked as part of the System Verification Team on the Optical Network Division on the various cross connect product lines. John is currently working with the associated TEPS Sales team to provide product overviews and solutions as part of the pre-sales process and to provide product updates to existing customers for future network planning and coordination.

Bernhard Stadler
Regional Product Manager, Microwave and Custom Solutions Group

Bernhard Stadler is managing the Microwave partner business in the Global Nokia Partner Program and handling the southern part of MEA as a regional Microwave Product Manager. He started with Fixed Line communications for Siemens EWSD and stepped over to IMS/VoIP technology later. For the last 9 years Bernhard has been in Business Development and Product Management for Microwave Transport. Wireless backhaul is his engagement area with a main target on Partner business and a strong regional focus on Middle East and Africa. Bernhard holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University for Applied Sciences in Munich and is based in Munich.

Rick Pryor

Rick Pryor leads business development for our Wavence microwave business. He is a ‘lifer’ of wireless communications having started his engineering career performing microwave path designs for utility customers. He subsequently worked in R&D for enterprise and carrier switching systems, returning to microwave communications in sales roles at the commencement of the mobile era and then again 5 years ago, where he has remained an enthusiastic promoter of microwave-based ‘anyhauling’. Rick holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Melbourne University and an MBA in International Management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
