TDM renewal without compromises

Network operators need to meet the growing and dynamic traffic demands of high-bandwidth cloud-based services but must also continue to support TDM service revenue streams, particularly for PDH services such as E1s.

But here’s the issue. TDM services are still largely supported by networks of aging and OpEx-intensive legacy SDH transport equipment and management systems. Until now, solutions to migrate TDM services to a modern network infrastructure have come with undesirable trade-offs in terms of cost, network downtime, operational complexities, and delayed or lost revenues.

Nokia offers a no-compromise, turnkey TDM renewal solution based on the new 1830 Optical Network Extender (ONE). The solution reduces OpEx and accelerates revenue generation by selectively migrating legacy network domains to a modern OTN/WDM transport infrastructure.
